HILL TOP CAMP
A CONFERENCE MR COATES TO HEAR COMPLAINTS WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. The difficulties which have arisen at the single men’s camp on the Akaroa Road ar e to be submitted direct to Mr Coates, chairman of the Unemployment Board. The Minister has been interviewed by Mr Sullivan in regard to the men s grievances respecting the wages offered, and has arranged lor a discussion between Mr Coates, as chairman of the board, and Messrs Sullivan and M’Combs to-morrow morning, when it is intended also to bring -hip the question of what can he done lor a thousand men in Christchurch who are without employment and are getting no relief work.
