Nobody could render a greater service y to the country than Mr Wise, if he induced his Bolshevik friends to pay a year’s interest thereon. Mr Snowden added that Portugal, Norway, Sweden and Bolivia had temporarily abandoned the gold standard. Denmark had prohibited the export of gold.
