Heavy rain fell in the morning, but the weather cleared after the last 1 race. The attendance was good. The track was slow. The totalisator took £18,512 10s compared with £37,661 on the first dav last year. Results:—•

GERALDINE R.C. MEETING, DESERT SONG WINS PRESIDENT'S TIMARU, Sept. 26. The Geraldine Racing Club’s meeting concluded to day, solid showers up to the sixth race, making the track h&ivy. There was a good attendance. The tote handled £7,417, compared with £10.218 10s on the second day of last year. The total for the mooting was £14,623 10s, against £19,007 last vear. Results:
