TO-NIGHT AND TUESDAY. “JUST IMAGINE.” Dancing is the ideal method of -retaining that “youthful figure,’’ according t0..El Brendel, famous Swedish character comedian who lias the lead ing role in the new DeSylva, Brown and Henderson Fox Movietone comedy with music, “Just Imagine,’’ playing to even bigger, business these days than their Movietone success of the previous year, “Sunny Side Up.” Brendel has no interest in athletics of any sort, so far as personal participation is concerned. He is a great baseball and prize fight fan, but he never has played golf or tennis, gone horseback riding, mountain climbing or swimming, > But since early boyhood El has been an ardent tap dancer. Even now, when he seldom, if ever, uses any dance steps a picture, he practices for an hour or more each day. “It’s the best exercise in the world,” the comedian insists. “You get all the benefits of the various sports people , engage in, and it doesn’t take so long, i Also, it is an accomplishment, one that I have often used, especially when i I was on the stage.”
The “Just Imagine” cast also includes Maureen O’Sullivan, John Garrick, Marjorie White, Frank Albertson, Kenneth Thomson, Hobart Bosworth, Wilfred Lucas, Miseha Auer, DeGray; and Ivan Li now. David Butler directed and Seymour Eelikistaged the dance numbers, and that they surpassed' their previdus elfprts when they served in similar capacities for “Sunny Side Up.” .Good supports.
