The paper “La Prenza,”. prints a despatch stating that 85 men were hanged by the orders of Governor CanabjiUof n the Tabasco The hangings were ordered to • avenge the lynching of the Mayor, Chable, of the towri of AgUadulce. Chable is said to have prdvolted the ire of the towns people in connection With the kidnapping of ft gU’l. The girl died of injuries which (Sine suffered when she fell from a horse' when she' was being abducted,
The townspeople then killed Chable. The . Governor, Canabal, had the perpetrators strung up at intervals . along the highway. , .
