BLENDED BUTTER
NEW MARKINGS ORDERED

A draft.Ordei-in-Gouncil has been issued ordering blended butter to be marked in accordance with the Committee’s recommendations. It come.i into force three months hence.
The report of the Committee to consider the marking of imported butter recommended on June 10th the following series of markings : — : “Empire,” where the butter -is entirely from overseas.
“Foreign,” where the butter is entirely foreign. “Partly Empire’’ where 'the butter consists of a blend ol Dominions and United, Kingdom butters. “Partly foreign,” where the blend consists of foreign and United Kingdom hut ter/s. Alternatively they recommend a dellnite indication of all the countries of origin in the blend, or the words, ‘including imported, butter.” '
