(Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) CALCUTTA, September 20. India’s total population, according, to a revised census, is almost 353,000,000 of which approximately 182,000,000 are males and 171,000,000 females. The census discloses an increase of ten point six per cent, since 1921. Hindus are about 238,500,000 and Moslems nearly 74,000,000 of the population.

British India is 271,000,000 and India States and Agencies 81,000,000.
