WELLINGTON, September 16

The Wellington Education Board today passed a resolution that a deputation wait on the Hon. H. Atmore

(Minister of Education) and ask that legislation be passed that the appointments of; married women teachers whose husbands are temporarily out of employment be made' provisional, the majority of the Board taking the view that to give permanent employment was wrong in principle, and cruel and unjust to those af present in the Board’s employ or in training.
