THOUGHTS OF THE TIMES
THE OUTLOOK FOR WOOL
The next series of London wool sales commenced on September 15 will he awaited with interest, because they, should provide a reliable indication as to the trend of the markets generally. Our Bradford correspondent, reviewing the previous -sales, stated that the broad conclusion was that wool values were fundamentally sound, that prices appeared to have- touched their lowest level, and, that trade stocks were on the light side. The chief factor in the Dominion’s position is the carry-over from last season, and- there, would apt pear to be good reasons why the question of dealing with it should have early consideration. The matter of marketing the wool in -store so as not to affect adversely the prospects of the coming clip calls for a considered policy in the interests of all the producer?. —‘‘Christchurch Times.”
