BERLIN, September 15, The announcement of a political d 3 bate between the Nazi and Communist leaders caused an excited crowd of 20,000 to besiege the Sports Palace in the Potsdammer-Strasse. When the police opened the gate the mob surged in, and women were trampled underfoot. Despite vigorous police use of a truncheons, a free fight between the Nazis and Communists developed in the courtyard, sixty-five. being seriously hurt. U.S.A. DEBT CONCESSION. TO THE GERMANS. WASHINGTON, September 14. The United States agreed to a year’s suspension of payment by Germany of nine million dollars to the United States, as interest under the awards of the Mixed Claims Commission.
