Monday's Christchurch ‘’Press” says - On some railway, lines in Canterbury and Westland first-class cars are to be removed, and in future only second-class cars will be included in the ChristchurchSouthbridge, Hokitika-Ross, and OtiraGreymouth mixed train on Mondays, when that train passes through to Christchurch. The small number of firstclass passengers has been responsible for this change of policy, which comes into force to-day, while the change in the Southbridge line will operate from Monday next. So far no information has been received by railway officials as to when the night express service to Dunedin is to be discontinued.
