NON-AGGRESSION PACT
SOVIET PLAN FINDS FAVOUR. 'GENEVA, September 4. M. Litvinoff,' the Soviet delegate, propounded at the meeting of the Euro* pean Union Committee of the League of Nations a scheme for a pact of economic non-aggression. He described it as being founded on the principle that there should be **o discrimination against any single nation, though not limiting the negotiation of legitimate forms of economic protection. > The Italian Foreign Minister, Signor' Grandi, and German Foreign Minister, Dr. Curtius, agreed with the principle, ffrance opposed M. Litvinoff’s demand for open sittings of the commitfbeb and the next two meetings will be h&ld in private.
