A ROSS COMPLAINT.
(To the Editor). Sir:—Permit' me space in your valuable journal, to say a little on a committee that was formed in Ross just recently. A miners’ association was formed here in a great hurry, amongst a few. Now Sir with all due respect, I think a general meeting should have been called, it may have been an oversight on the Mayor’s part, but it would have looked much better. Certainly since Mr Murdoch became Mayor he has been out in the best interests of Ross, and has given a good help to several affairs here. He headed the Miners Association with £lO, saleyards with £lO, and when he became Mayor, it must have cost him another £lO to' supply all the schools about this end with apples besides many other little things in the way of donations. I grant him due respect, although in,public affairs I think reasonable notice should be given. I am, etc. 'RESIDENT.
