Savings Bank and declares in a statement that the new Bank cannot be carried on at a profit and the 'loss thus sustained will have to be- borne, by- the impounded deposits of old-,customers. organisation emphasises: that there is no real confidence in the reconstructed Bank and ’never will be. On the contrary there is utmost .confidence in the Commonwealth Bank and therefore the demand is made that the earliest move should.^be made to merge with ' . the Commonwealth Bank.
