Under the French Boxing Federation’s new rule, referees will be no longer called on to determine the results of future lights in I ranee, which will rest entirely with the three ring-side judges, who hitherto \seie merely given votes when the referee was in doubt. The referee will now govern fights under control of the judges, without having to keep the points check. He may still order the fightto be stopped, but even in this respect being liable to he over-ruled by the judges.
