ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH
REBUILDING PROPOSALS. A meetingof the congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian,' Church was held last evening in St. Andrew’s Hall, the Rev. G. Naylor presiding over a large attendance. A discussion took place over the question of a site for the proposed new church, two being considered, cn alongside the present church, and tinother in Brittan Street, adjoining the Bank of New Zealand residence. Then, was a considerable difference of opinion, and ultimately on a vote beiintake n the site alongside the present church where the first sod was turned in 1919, was agreed upon by a. good majority.
A plan of the proposed Scots Memor ial Church was submitted, to he built in ferro concrete, and was generally admired and approved. It was resolved to have the specifications completed at once, and then the plans will he placed before another meeting for final approval, following . which tenders will be invited and the work put in hand.
