CHILIAN BATTLE

SEVEN HUNDRED KILLED. NAVAL MUTINEERS BOMBED. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegrn ph.—Copyright.) (Received this day at 1.5 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, September 6. A message received here states seven hundred were killed in yesterday’s battle for possession of Talcalmano, in bloody fighting between the Chilean Government troops nd naval mutineers. Censorship rules in Santiago, but despatches leaked through to Argentine newspapers which describe the situation as serious.

Tv’elve areoplanes were sent from Valpuriso and bombarded the fleet. One destroyer and an armourd cruiser were sunk. Government claims this victory turned the tide and announces it has traced the recent Communist activities to Moscow which provided funds for the propaganda.
