Owing to heavy rain last night, there was no play to-day in the cricket match New Zealand v. Gentlemen of England aiiu the match was abandoned, drawn. New Zealanders are travelling to Folkstone this afternoon.
The “Times’’ pays a high tribute to Blunt’s batting. It says the number of runs scored was less important than the strokes with which he scored.
