COINCIDENCE IN CRIME
TWO GANGS .ROB HOUSE. SYDNEY, August 14. That two separate gangs planned to rob the same factory at the same hour, without knowledge of each other’s lotions, is the remarkable coincidence revealed by five recent arrests. The Stromberg 'Carlson radio factory, in Crown' street, East Sydney, was broken into about a week ago, and since then Detective-Sergeant Power and Detective Shields have pieced together a remarkable story. They learnt that one Of three youths climbed through a broken window of the factory and opened a roller door for hi.s companions. As they were about to enter, three other young men, who apparently had been watching, came up, and quickly assured the first burglars that their intentions were “strictly honourable.” Having agreed that there was sufficient for all, the two parties went about their business. Next morning three wireless sets and valuable accessories were missing. The detectives made their fifth arrest yesterday, and have seized wireless goods valued at £3OO.
