THE SEARCHERS. The very qualities that, on occasion, will dare, are of immense value to any nation, but for th© more ambitious expeditions experience and sound judgment are essential. The nation has no greater asset than its young life, and it is thankful that so many of the missing party been sa.ely brought in. And there is cause for pride in the untiring efforts of the searchers, the, courage of those who waited through the long hours, and the unhesitating response of those who, from bush camp, mill, and farm, went to render what assistance they could to those in desperate straits.—Christchurch Times.
