United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) OTTAWA, Sept. 2. At Toronto, George Young, of Toronto, to-day won the fifteen mile Canadian National Exhibition swim. One Hundred and eighty started. OTTAWA, September 2. In the Canadian National Exhibition swim; Young was the winner. He wins ten thousand dollars. His victory constitutes a “come-back” after a long succession of failures, following his winning of the Catalina (California) twenty-six mile marathon in 1927. The time was eight hours and eight minutes. The water registered v fiftyeight degrees, and only six sw'mmers were left in when Young finished. Bill Coll, of New York, about a mile behind Young, continued to finish, second. \ ... , There were one hundred thousand spectators. TORONTO, Sept. 3. In the Canadian National Exhibition swim, Warren Anderson, of Sydney, Nova Scotia was third, 5 Young, Coll and Anderson were the only swimmers to complete the distance. With less than a mile to go, Ernest Yierkoetter, of Toronto, was taken from the water.
