Austro-Franco-Germnn talks to adjust Customs Union differences and enable France to financially assist Austria have broken down. It is a momentous issue, as Austria is on the verge of bankruptcy and only France is able -’to help; Austria offers a qualified undertaking of abandonment, but France demands.. a complete renunciation on political grounds.
