WEST COAST RUGBY UNION, The weekly' meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union was held last evening "at Greymouth. The Westland Sub-Union reported that Messrs D. Dowell and J. McCleary had the Hokitika players in training for the Seddon Shield game. The Sub-Union suggested that, in order, to give the selector the, opportunity of picking the best team possible, the Union should, consider the playiiig of the Dittman Shield game on Saturday next. It was decided to go on with the fixtures on Saturday next, and challenge Westland for the I>ittman Shield oil September 26tii; It was decided to accede to the request of tli© Westland Suh-tJnion to play the Rivals-ExCelsior match on September 10th., on account of the boxing tourney on that date at Hokitika. Westland Sub-Union wrote /baking the Union to arrange the Graham Wise Cup game, between the Rimu and Kumara teams, for next Saturday. The request was acceded to. Saturday’s fixtures were arranged as follows: Senior: Stars V. Excelsiors, A. Ground, Victoria Park, at 3 p.m. (Mr T. Mclntosh, referee); United v. Rivals at Hokitika, at 3 p.m.; Cobden v. Blaketown, B. Ground, Victoria Park, 3 p.m. (Mr A. Jamieson, referee). Junior —Graham Wise Cup—Kumara v. Rimu at Kumara, at 3, p.m. (Mr W. McLaughlin).
