EVANGELISTIC CAMPAIGN
AUCKLAND, September 1. , The Rev. Fred H. Ross, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of San. .Pedro, California, is on his way back to America after four weeks , in Australia, but he will remain in New Zealand for five weeks before continuing his voyage. Mr Ross, who for many years served as connexional evangelist in the South Californian 'Conference, will conduct a 10 days’ evangelistic campaign in the Pitt Street Methodist Church before visiting Wellington, Christchurch, and Palmerston North. Tq-moriW afternoon he will speak’ on “Sidelights on American Life,” and will, be present at a youth rally on Wednesday evening. Mr ißoss, who is accompanied ]by his wife, mentioned that Mr Charles H. Poole, who was at one time a member of the •New Zealand Parliament, whs occupying his pulpit in 'California during his absence. Miss Esther Wehman, organist for the church, js accompanying Mr and Mrs Ross.
