TERRIBLE PLAGUE
BREAKS OUT IN SPAIN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.; (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) MADRID, August 29. Bubonic plague has broken out in Barcelona. It is supposedly due to contaminated clothing that was appropriated from a refuse dump outside the city. There have been sixty deaths, and there are one. lninderd and forty in the hospital. The whole city has been lavishly disinfected. Th e trams, buses, and restaurants reek with carbolic.
