BOMB OUTRAGE

J LONDON, August 29. “The Times’s” Madrid correspondent states; A bomb was thrown through the open window of the writing room at the Portuguese Embassy at Madrid in which the Ambassador, Senor Bareto and his wife were sitting. Senor Bareto bent down to pick up the missile, but bis wife hurried him from the room. A second . later the bomo exploded, wrecking the furniture. There is no clue to the identity of the throwers, but it is believed vnat they were Portuguese' exiles 1 who were attempting to take vengeance for the failure of Wednesday's vising.
