IN A NUT SHELL. When the ordinary individual spends too much and runs short of money, lie does make himself ridiculous asserting he has been the victim of a “bankers’ ramp” or “conspiracy.” He mere, ly reflects that he must spend less in the future' so that he can keep within hi s income. Reduced to essentials, that is exactly what is happening in Great Britain for the Government, just as the private citizen, has no inexhaustible store of wealth on which it can draw. The National Government has therefore set itself the task of cutting the coat according to the cloth. —Tile Dominion.
