WBMNGARE! DOCTOR FINED., WHANGAREI, August 25. At • the Whangarei a Magistrate’s Court this morning, before Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., Dr H. F. Buckley (Mr Trimmer) was charged with, having issued a receipt for over £2 without a stamp being affixed. Counsel pleaded guilty and in extenuation pointed out that the doctor was a very busy man and in h,s hurry" he had overlooked 'the stamp on th. receipt for Hospital Board fees. The magistrate said lie realised that the offence had been committed through an oversight, but that he' had fined a man for a similar offence only a week or two previously and lie could do- no less with the doctor, on whom he inflicted a fine of £2 and 10s. costs.
