SHOT IN FACE
SCHOOLBOY’S DANGEROUS PRANK, WELLINGTON, August 27. Shot in the face with a revolver with which he was playing, James Prendergast a. schoolboy, of 12, Hector Street, Petone, aged fifteen, suffered severe lacerations. Prendergast, who was playing with companions this afternoon, had an old revolver. Pretending to commit suicide he put the weapon a short distance from his face and pulled the trigger. The weapon was loaded with blank cartridges, the result being that he suffered , severe lacerated wounds in the region of the right eye. He was sent to hospital.
