SPECIAL COMMITTEE
TO-DAY’S SITTING. (By Telegraph—Per press Association) WELLINGTON, August 27. Evidence was presented before' the Special Economic Committee, this morning by W. D. Hunt of Wellington on behalf of stock’ and station agents. Mr Hunt was in the course of cross examination when the Committee adjourned for lunch. The Committee will next hear Air 11. D. Adand of Christchurch and Air James Begg of Dunedin, who will, present evidence on behalf of wool-growers. It is intended that the Committee will sit again to-morrow morning and the •House of Representatives which ordinarily meets at 10.30 a.in. on 1 ridays will not meet until 2.30 p.m.
It is likely that next week's arrangements will be similar to those made dor this week, namely, the Committee will sit in the mornings and afternoons,', the House meeting in the evenings.
