The future of the Indian RoundTable Conference, in the light of the change of Government must necessarily await the .authoritative .statement by the Secretary of State for India in the New Government. Meanwhile, preparations for the Conference are proceeding without interruption or modification. The Round-Tab'.© Conference was called to help the Government by such a measure of agreement as might he shown in suggesting lines on which a. Bill to amend the Government- of India should proceed, all political parties having agreed that such a Bill should be introduced in Parliament as soon as possible. The value of this method of consultation remains unimpaired.
