The new British Cabinet as announced by Hon. Ramsay MacDonald will be

Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald.

Chancellor of the Exchequer—Mr P Snowden.

Lord President of the Council —Air Stanley Baldwin. Foreign Minister.—Lord Reading.

Secretary for the Dominions and Colonies. —Mr J. Thomas. Lord Clianceller.—Lord Sankey.

Home Secretary.—Sir H. Samuel

Secretary for India.—Sir S, Home. Aiinister of Health.—Air Neville Chamberlain, President of the Hoard of Trade.— Air Cunliffe Lester. There are therefore in the Cabinet four members of the lnte Labour Government, two Liberals, and four Conservatives.

In addition the following appointments are announced: —

Secretary for Air.—Mr Amulree (Labour). First Lord of Admiralty.—Mr Austin Chamberlain (Conservative). Secretary for Scotland!-—Sir Archibald Sinclair (Liberal), President of the Board of Education. —Sir Donald McLean (Liberal). Minister for Labour. —Sir Henry Betterton (Conservative). First, Commissioner of 'Works.—Lord Londonderry (Conservative). Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.—Lord Lothian (Liberal), Minister of Agriculture,—Sir John Gihnour (Conservative), The Secretary of War will be announced later. It is generally assumed that Mr Baldwin will act as Leader of the Commons. The new Ministers are expected to receive the seals of office about 11.30 tomorrow morning and the first meeting of the new Cabinet will probably take place about noon. Parliament is expected to meet on September Bth.
