■ At the Grey Yards yesterday afternoon the usual sale of fat stock was held when a yarding of 48 head of cattle was offered. Prices were equal ■to rates recently ruling at the centre. A special entry of two black-poll show bullocks from Canterbury attracted much interest as they were probably the finest cattle seen on the Coast for a very long time. They realised he price of £lB each and were secured by The Farmers’ Meat Supply Coy. of Greymoutb. •> Jeffries and Co. made the following aales ; —For T. Staines, 2 cows at £B, 1 do. at £6, 1 do. at £6 10s, 2 heifers at £5 ss, 1 do. ait £5 10s, 1 do. at £5 7s 6d,l do. at £4 17s Gd, 1 cow *t £S 2s 6d. For a Canterbury client 2 show blks. at £lB. Privately 4 strs. at £9, 2 runners at £4 10s, 4 cows atj £7 10s, 2 do. at; £B.
