iVKRYBODYt PICTURES. ‘‘LIGHTNIN” TO-NIGHT. ' Comedy vies with drama in “Lightnin,” Will Rogers’ latest Fox Movietone picture tjo be screened tonight (Tuesday). As the habitually idle whimsidal old tippler and dreamer, “Lightnin’ Bil Jones,” Rogers, has a roie that excels his remarkably characterisations in “They Had to See Pans” and ‘‘So this is London.” Rogers does not rip open the divbrce evil, but pokea good fun at it. It is, perhaps, the best entertainment the screen has produced. A supporting cast, headed by Louise Dressier, contributes much to the success of the picture. Miss Dressier portrays “Lightpin’s” wife arid while famous for her riiother f-oles, gives a performance that surpasses all her previous efforts. Others are Helen Cohan, youngest daughter of\George M. Colien, who riujco her screen debut in this. picture,' Joel McCrea, Jason Richards, Luke Cosgrave, Frank Campeau, j. M.-Kerrigan, Ruth Warren, Sharon Lynn, Joyce Compton, Rex Bell and Charlotte Walker.
