AUSTRALIAN BEATS AMERICAN. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, August 22. At Leicliardt Stadium Fred Maunaberry, 10.3 defeated the American coloured boxer Eddie Daniels, 10.13, on points, winning all the fifteen rounds. The American took terrific punishment.
PALMER V. BUNDREN BRISBANE, August 22. Ambrose Palmer, 11.7, defeated Herman Bundren (America) 11.2, ‘on points over 15 rounds - SYDNEY BOUT. SYDNEY, August 23. At the Sydney Stadium, Merv. Williams (11.8), obtained the decision against the New Zealander, Billy Sullivan (12.2) The contest was stopped in the tenth round, owing to severe damage to Sullivan’s left eye.
