Detained for several days at Ketriles for engine trouble, the Lindberghs arrived at Nemnro, Hokkaido at 4.50. SCHNEIDER CUP. RUGBBY, August 21. It is understood that in the event of Italian and French teams not, after all. competing for the Schneider Trophy in the race on September 12th the British team will fly round the cours9 at the highest speed attainable in the new machines, which are expected considerably to exceed last year’s figures. However, although the intentions of the Italian and the French are stillunknown, strong hopes are held at Calsliot that both countries will be represented. It, is anticipaeed that an initial decision cannot be delayed much longer, and that it will probably be reached at the week-end. The funeral of Lieut. Brinton took place to-day. The inquest openel yesterday. ‘ and was nd'ourned after formal evidence, pending the report of a special enquiry into the cause of the accident.
