LOSS ON YEAR. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 24. The report to he presented to the annual meeting of members of Wellington Racing Club is remarkable for its brevity. Nevertheless it conveys a complete expression of the serious crisis at present confronting sport in th e Dominion. The President (Mr J. J. Duncan) covers the year’s workings in one'sentence. ‘‘The Club has in common with other Clubs suffered financial loss during the year.” Profit and loss account shows the loss to be £5,939 8s Bd.
