It is pleasant to note that since “Aussie” reduced its price to 6d it seems to lie giving the public better value than ever for its money. Not only is the size the same but the contents and general layout of the magazine show a vast improvement. A big feature in tlie latest issue is a story by that famous Australian humourist “Kodak” entitled “The Bishop and the Buns.” This is the first of a series of “Kqctah” stories to he printed by “Aussie” from month to month. Quotations from Australian and New Zealand writers, a feature introduced some months ago, has proved exceedingly popular. These quotations promise to supply the most valuable collection ever got together. They are gems of the literature of two great countries, and there are prizes each month for the reader sending iii the best one from each country. Several other striking features have been introduced including a big competition in which 100 prizes are to be given away, £3O in cash and 90 other prizes. Certainly in all respects “Aussie” appears to have taken a new lease of life in spite of the depression.
