WAITANGI WHARF
CONSTRUCTION APPROVED.
WELLINGTON, August 12
Cabinet to-day approved the ejection of a wharf at Waitangi, Chatham Islands. The structure is to cost £18;000, of ’which the 'Chatham Islands County Council is to find £IO,OOO. This sum has already been borrowed by the Council. Plans and specifications have been prepared and tenders will be called immediately for the erection of a wharf before next winter.
