ACCOST WOODCUTTER. (By Telegraph—Ter Tress Association) WANGANUI, August 13. Alter one o’clock this morning the police were summoned to St. Johns Hill, on the Great North Road, where it is reported that a tent, occupied by Clifford Charles Organ had been visited In- two masked men with a pea rifle \vho demanded money. Organ, who was taken by surprise, jumped up and attempted to snatch the mask' off one man. when he was shot by the other in the leg with a pea rifle. He was taken to the hospital. The police are scouring the district. i Organ had a wood cutting contract.
