WEDDING BELLS

A wedding of much local interest took place at St. Cuthbert’s Church Harihari; on Thursday, August 6, when Maisie Borie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Peterson, of Harihari, was married to Lynn Warwick, second son of Mr and Mrs Alf Wall of Harihari. The bride was given away by her father. She wore a graceful frock ankle-length of shell pink georgette, with a veil of pink lace and a spray of orange. Her bouquet consisted of pink and white roses, lily of the valley and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaid Miss Meta Peterson, (sister of Hie bride), wore a pretty frock of saxe blue taffeta with picture hat to match and carried a bouquet of carnations and roses. Mr Frank Wall (cousin of the bridegroom), was b.est man. Rev. .A. K. Vfavren \y,as the officiating clergy man. After the ceremony the wadding party and guests adjourned to the residence of the bride’s parents, Mrs Peterson receiving her guests wearing smart frock of brown crepe de chine. A pleasant hour was spent and the usual toats were .honoured. The happy couple left later for Christchurch on their honeymoon, the bride travelling ill a frock of brown wool crepe de chine with brown tweed coat fur trimmings and smart felt bat to match.
