These fair chlariners, realising that to marry the wrong one would be fatal for their happiness, decide to test the merits of their prospective husbands by taking them away to Scotland “On Approval.” Many hilarious and screamingly humorous Situations naturally arise which, make “On Approval” a continuous ripple of merriment. The cast of well-known players includes Tom Walls as > the Duke of Bristol, Yvonne Arnaud as Maria Wislak, Edmund Breon (who was especially brought from Hollywood to re-enact his original stage role) as Richard, Robertson. „Hare as Hedwortb, and Mary" Brough as Emerald. SEQUAH-TO-NIGHT. AT ALL SAINTS’ HALL. Sjjqpah is announced to give a demonstration to-night in All Saints’ Hall. No charge is made for admission. As Sequah is known the world over as a remarkable speaker and demonstrator, there should be a big gathering to welcome him to Hokitika. The Municipal Band will be in attendance, and will render selections during the demonstration. Sequah has travelled the world over, and for many' years his name has been a prominent one. He has Press notices from all the leading papers in the Old Country, and a perusal, of his scrapbook of Australian and New Zealand Press cuttings shows ■
