SAWMILL BURNT

CONSIDERABLE LOSS INVOLVED (By Telepraph—Per Press Association) OHAKUNE, August 11. A disastrous fire occurred this morning at Goldfinch Cov’s. sawmill, Ohakune Junction. An alarm was received at 3 a.m., and a bucket brigade managed, to save the timber stacks around the mill. It was impossible to save the mill, which was completely destroyed., A number of trucks on the rails containing seasoned timber, ready for consignment to Napier was also burnt. Insurances £2OOO, but it is believed the less s very considerable.
