Sixteen passengers were seriously injured in an attempt to blow up the Basel-,Berlin express. The Duke of York arrived at Soutli-w-old, Suffolk, on Wednesday, on a visit to his annual holiday camp tor public school boys and boys in industry. There are 400 lads under canvas and the camp is organised in sections ot ten public school boys and ten industrial boys. The Duke will spend Wednesday night and most oi Thursday with his guests. For every two incoming immigrants three people are leaving America’s shore permanently, either deported or induced by economic reasons to return to European or oilier countries. Deportees alone from New York in the past twelve months have reached nineteen thousand. One Italian liner left New York to-dav with eleven bun tired -third class passengers, mostly Italian families, who have been sent home by their bread winners to live cheaper in Italy.
