FOUND DEAD. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, August 8. Alan Hastings Budge, 24, single, was found dead at his home Tui Street, Fendalton, this morning alongside a gas ring; The circumstances point to suicide. He was the son of the oity surveyor. EMBARGO ON IMPORTED slock. WELLINGTON, August 10. The New Zealand Fanners’ Union have been advised by the Minister o' Agriculture (Hon. A. J. Murdoch) that in view of the recent outbreaks of foot and mouth diseases in Britain, the Government decided to maintain the embargo on the importation of cattle, sheep and pigs from the Old Country. RECKLESS DRIVING. WANGANUI, August 10. Norman Tjnuey, of Patea, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court for recklessly driving a motor and causing the death, of S. C. Humphrey on May 16th. and negligently driving causing death. The Crown offered no evidence on the manslaughter charge and Tinmey will lie sentenced on Wednesday morning.
