PLEA FOR PRiMARY EDUCATION. WELLINGTON, August 7. A.-.deputation, representing* the Wellington School. Coirimittce and -Education Federation, waited on members of Parliament to-day. A plea was made by the • speakers that primary school education . should not suffer under the economy axe. Air F. L. Combs, lor the deputation said the cost of education' was a bare two per cent of the national income. Air S. R. Evision, president of the South Island School Coinmittees’ Federation, appealed to members not to allow, the educational system to -be crippled by the search "after economy. On. the? motion of Mr P.
