International Programme' at IYA this evening will he Air Julius Hogben,' L.L.8., Lecturer on Internat.onal Law at Auckland Universi'.y. He will speak on ''lnternational Copy weight Law.” ZY A will relay from the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, a concert by the pupils of the iuarist Brothers School, Tasman Street, in conjunction with the Salon Orchestra. The choral singing by. the boys is of a very high standard and should prove of an interesting and entertain.ng nature. Umkr the conduetorship of Mr James Dixon, the St. K; lda Band, assisted by 4YA artists, will provide a programme this evening. The band’s items have been well selected and will include a cornet solo, "11 Bucio,” played by Mr ,'W. Barke and a trombone solo, "The Switchback.” The vocalists for the evening will be Mrs D. Carty (soprano), Air J. Kennedy (tenor), Mr R. B. Macdonald (bass) and Mr James A. Paterson ((Scottish humorist). Silent day at 3YA.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST sth. The annua! concert of the Auckland Boys’ Grammar School, to be given in the Town Hall, will be broadcast bv IYA this evening. Dr Guy H. Scholefkld, 0.8. E., will be the lecturer during the International Programme at 2VA. Mendelssohn’s oratorio "Elijah,” to be presented in the Civic theatre by the Royal Christchurch Musical Society' ilris evening, will be relayed by 3YA. The soloists will be Madame Winner j Fraser, soprano, of Oarnaru ; Miss C. ' Freeman Brown, contralto ; Mr Chas. R. Williamson, tenor; and Mr Charles Clarkson, bass, of Ashburton. The oratorio will be presented with full grand chorus and orchestra under the conductorship of Mr W. H. Dixon, I.R.A.M. .v.R.C.Ai. 4YA’s Studio concert will be provided , by Anderson's Bay Orchestra, conduct-1 ed by Ah' Janus Clark, 4A A vocal art- 1 ists also contributing. The orchestra will present a varied and excellent programme. The ‘'Rhapsodic Hongroise”’; will be played as a flute and piano item j by Mr T. Kenderdine and Airs C. | Drake. Mr R. Watson will present the; violin solo "Nocturne” (by Field). Contralto solos will be contributed by Airs B. C. Roberts, tenor solos by Air R. A. | Mitchell and bass solos by Mr F. H. | tWoods. There will be elocutionary items. by Mr J. B. Flynn.
