Barr, a much respected medical practitioner, died ■' suddenly on a launch while on a fishing excursion in Torrent Bay on Saturday night. SLUCCUMBED TO INJURIES. HAMILTON, August 3. Gordon Niccoll Douglas, 27, of Hamilton, an electrical fitter, who sustained an electric shock at Waihou sub-stat-ion on Tuesday, succumbed to his injuries at the Waikato Hospital yesterday. MOTOR CYCLIST’S DEATH. WELLINGTON, August 3. Tony Kjar, a motor cyclist who was injured yesterday,, as a result of striking a brick walk when endeavouring to avoid a collision with a motor-car, on the Hutt Road, died at the hospital at 9.45 p.m. Deceased suffered a fractured skull. Both arms were broken at the wrist and he suffered injuries to the pelvis.
