The Puss Moth aeroplane, purchased by Miss Arolia Clifford, in England and which was damaged after arrival in New Zealand, has been bought by the Air Force. The Labour Minister, Mr Smith, states that the number of men who qualified under the Number Five Scheme and were placed in work was 35.135. \ total of 5260 were engaged under the Number Four A Scheme and 950 under the Number Four B Scheme. The men for whom no work was found totalled 6,427, but it was probable, the Minister stated, that the majority of these were unemployable. The total registrations in the cities were: -Auckland 6861, Wellington 4638, Christchurch 5011, Dunedin 2845.
