(By Telegraph—Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 28. Besides 21 criminal cases, there are 81 civil actions for hearing at the Supreme Court sessions, which opened to-day, and in addition. 60 for divorce. Pereival John Scant!eburv, aged 46, a solicitor, who was recently struck off the roll, was sentenced to-day by Mr Justice Herd man to three years’ reformative detention for forging and uttering documents relating to his trust account. The Judge said that the prisoner had forfeited all right to be considered as an honourable nuii\ !o(? ,. Judge Herd man further remarked "In addition to the crime of forgery it would seem you have appropriated moneys to the extent of £I3OO. In assessing the punishment, I do not 'take that .into account. I have no doubt, however, the police will investigate this phase of your professional conduct.”
